Our president, Jonathan Torres de la Mora, M.A., participated in the Public Information Meeting convened by SEMARNAT regarding the New Port of Manzanillo project, a forum for dialogue in which the scope of this important initiative for the development of our municipality was presented.

During his remarks, he emphasized that port growth represents a historic opportunity to strengthen competitiveness, attract investment, and create more opportunities for the region; however, he stressed that this development must be accompanied by comprehensive planning that addresses challenges related to mobility, infrastructure, housing, security, workforce development, and sustainability.

He also reiterated that the project’s success should not be measured solely by its logistical capacity, but also by the well-being it brings to families, the strengthening of businesses, and the orderly development of Manzanillo.
